Coquette by Solange! was introduced at the ACS Fashion for Life Fair and is now available in the store. I should have said this a month or two ago but I took some unexpected time off from work. It was a forced hiatus due to catching a cold followed by the flu and bronchitis but... I"M BACK.

Now I'm trying to get caught up on things with the blog and in Second Life!

The Coquette design comes in 10 colors and you can also purchase a feathered fan accessory to set it off. This is one of my favorite designs to date because of its spanish flair. Ole'!

Nightfall was recently released and I have done a special color combination for Fashion for Life. All proceeds from the sale go to the American Cancer Society at Fashion for Life.

Gypsy is a new design currently only available in Blue and available only at Fashion for Life until March 22. All proceeds from the sale of this item go to the American Cancer Society at Fashion for Life.

Focus is a new design and comes in 10 colors. All proceeds from the sale of the Fuschia edition go to the American Cancer Society at the Fashion for Life event.

Coquette is a new design available in 10 colors. The Green version is my donation to the American Cancer Society. All proceeds from the sale go the American Cancer Society at Fashion for Life.

The Coquette Feather Fan is free at my booth until March 22, 2011! Don't forget to grab a feathery fan while you are shopping at Fashion for Life!

Fashion for Life, formerly Relay for Life, opened today at noon SLT. This is such a wonderful charity event and I participate every year. I won't go into all the details of the event here in my blog but instead refer you to the official Fashion for Life SL blog where you can get all the information you need about this event and see a running total on how much money is being collected for the American Cancer Society.

Cancer, unfortunately, something that has touched everyone's life in some way, be it themselves or a family member, or a friend. I think that is why there is always such a large participation for these events. We all want to do something to help find a cure!

You can help by visiting the sims and buying the donation outfits we, the designers, are contributing to the event. 100% of the proceeds goes directly to the charity via special vendors. This year I have four outfits and a free gift to entice you over. While getting free stuff is always great, please remember the purpose of this event and donate where you can. Every small bit helps!

Solange! Cemetery

So I was playing around with my store sim and decorating for Halloween (and trying to justify the bazillions of Halloween decorations I've purchased over the years in SL) and made a creepy little cemetery. Go me!

If you take a pic of yourself in the cemetery for halloween I would LOVE to see it!

There is a ballroom dance there (because if you are going to dance in a graveyard it should definately be ballroom right?!) and you can show or hide it with the /1 hide or /1 show command. Also the tombstone with the candle has a pose if you feel like hunkering down on a tombstone for a bit and don't want to use your AO sits for it.

Today's release, Traction, is from the fantasy division of Solange! Fashions, The Silk Raven.

Traction is a combination of well-worn leather and tattered silk cloth that combines with buckles, studs, and gears to create a sexy yet strong look with a touch of grunge and a hint of steampunk. Careful attention to detail include sculpted components with baked textures and rotating gears. Several wear options are included for a variety of looks that are sure to please.

Today's release, Kadriya, was a privately commissioned work which I have been given authorization to release to the general public (that's you!). I've added a couple more colors to the original set to offer you 7 shades to choose from plus one additional shade you can get as a bonus in the phatpack or win it by getting your lucky letter in the Solange! Group Lucky Board.

Kadriya is a design that can be used as a silk or wear the top and panties only as a swimsuit or lingerie. There are draped armbands as well as a simple armband option. A long Flex silk skirt is also included and requires the panties or belt only option (for you naughtier folks) to be worn to complete it. The lush silk fabric is embellished on the top, skirt and armband drapes with a silver dragon.

Shalenas - Special Edition White

Many of you expressed an interest in a white version of Shalenas so I decided to give it another look. Originally I was not happy with how it looked in white but after some changes I'm thrilled with the new look. The trim on the white version is Black with gold accents instead of Gold with russet accents, and the gemstones on the armbands are all diamonds as opposed to mixed colors.

I hope you've prepared yourself, got your running shoes on, stuffed your wallet full of linden and have your best no prim outfit laid out on the bed to wear because tomorrow morning at 10am SLT the Relay for Life Clothing Fair opens to the public!

I am participating in the RFL Clothing Fair again this year and you can teleport to my shop on Sim #8 by clicking on this SLURL.

My new outfit, Victoria (in red, picture above), will ONLY be available at the RFL Clothing Fair this week and all proceeds from the sale will be donated to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. After the fair closes it will be available at my main location at Dream On Bay.

I think there are very few people who have not had the spectre of cancer touch them or their family in some way. My family is no different. The most recent being my stepdad who was diagnosed with cancer about four weeks ago and had surgery to remove a very large tumor about a week ago. It is beyond stressful for the victim as well as their family and friends to go through the process of diagnosis, testing and finally, treatment. I am sure many of you know this well.

They removed a tumor the size of a basketball (25 pounds!), and the kidney it was attached to, from my stepdad's abdomen. The prognosis is good, there was no spread, so we count ourselves very lucky that his recovery should go well. Other families are not always so lucky and I feel it is important for me to show my support by doing the small things I can do, including participating in the Relay for Life program in Second Life.

I hope many of you will join me in celebrating life by shopping til we drop and doing what we can to support finding a cure for cancer. Until there's a cure... let's Relay!

I'm a little behind in my blog posts but here, finally, is my latest release. The Highland Trilogy consisting of Highland Hipbanger, Highland Fantasy and Highland Wrap. This was actually released on February 10th. So now a month later I am posting it to my blog. 2009 is just around the corner and now comes the time when I run my 3rd Annual Solange! Fashions 12 Days of Christmas Gift Hunt.

For those of you that have been my customer since the beginning (3 years now!) and those of you that have found me over the years and even those of you that are just discovering my store... now is the time when I say ...

Thank you for giving me another wonderful year of being a creator in Second Life. I truly couldn't do what I do without the support of all of you. You are what keep me motivated to keep designing, despite all the bugs, all the thievery, all the frustrations, that come with being in SL. You are my bright lights, my inspiration and my laughter. I wish you the best and most joyous of holiday seasons.

But I'm not just going to give you my words, I'm also going to give you FREE STUFF! And that's where the fun comes in!

Starting today, December 1, 2008 through January 1, 2009 I will be running my 3rd Annual 12 Days of Christmas Gift Hunt. This is how it works:

About every other day, starting 12/1/08 (today!), I am hiding a gift in the store for you to find (the first gift is already hidden in the store!). There will be 12 gifts in all, the final one being put out on 12/23/08. Unlike previous years, I will be leaving them out until 1/1/09 instead of picking up the gifts so that there are only 2 in the store at a time. The store build is alot bigger now and I'll be hiding them EVERYWHERE on the island, not just inside the store, so I'm going to give you alot of time to hunt them down.

The Gifts are hidden in red or green tree ornaments.

PLEASE RESPECT THE FOLLOWING RULES OF THE HUNT:

1. DO NOT IM me asking where they are hidden, I won't tell you

2. DO NOT SPAM the group asking for clues or locations, I'm sure folks at the store will share locations as they find them, if not, happy hunting :)

3. If you miss out on gifts DO NOT IM ME asking if I will send you the ones you missed. The gifts will be out until January 1, 2009, so if you are away for a few days at Christmas you should still have plenty of time to find the ones you missed when you get back from holiday.

4. If you need to know if another gift has been put out, check my blog:

5. All gifts are NO TRANSFER.

6. Some gifts may say (1 of 2) or (1 of 3) or somesuch in the description, this means there are more than one of that particular numbered gift hidden in the store. Usually a variation or other pieces to complete the set.

7. The hunt is ONLY at the main store at Dream on Bay.

CONTEST 1: Solange! Fashions Calendar Girls 2009

RULES:
- Models in the photo MUST be wearing a Solange! Fashions clothing design

- All photos must be taken at locations in Second Life (no photo studio backgrounds or external imaging backgrounds will be accepted)

- Please submit High Resolution photos whenever possible (See Torley's link on how to save your photos in high resolution:

The high resolution stuff is about half way down the page.

- Photo submissions should be at least 1024 x 1024 (a 3:2 Ratio is preferred or 1536 x 1024. Using Torley's high resolution snapshot tutorial will explain how to save your photos to file without having to take a huge pic in game)

- After photo processing is accepted and encouraged. Show off your talents!

Well I am back from my very enjoyable and relaxing vacation and gearing up for the holidays! This is my favorite time of year, and also my most hectic, crazy, wild time of year as well. To get the holidays started properly I've placed 3 new prizes in the Lucky Chairs.

Pluckin' Beauties from the Pool

Thanks for all the gorgeous photos you've been taking in second life and posting to my Solange! Fashions Fan Art pool! The pictures are amazing to see and it's like being in a candy store trying to pick out which ones to use. What a wonderful problem to have, I am truly blessed.

I've managed to make my first selection and chosen a photo submitted by Freyja Nemeth.

Here is the final processed and cropped version I did of her photo that is now displayed in the store:
Isn't she lovely? Her avatar has a beautiful unique look that caught my eye and her photo was easy to work with to give me lots of room to play around. You can see Freyja's original submission photo here.

This is a completely reworked edition of one of my very old fantasy designs. I asked the very talented Elysium Eilde of Second Look Studio to do some photos of the new design and, as usual, she supplied stunning results!
